Role-Model Mindset

During these crazy times where there's no longer any real structure of time in place, you, yourself, are going to have to take those matters in your own hand. Keep the lead. By not losing sight of your goals. By maintaining focus. Living that intentional life, even when shit looks like its hitting the fan.

I'm doing my damndest to do all that. I still have shit I want to accomplish. So a virus isn't going to stop me.

I've decided to go ahead and compete in a figure comp.

I've thought through my training and diet. And I need to factor in age.   For example, higher reps. Not too high, but higher than the usual 2-5 reps. I'm going to stay with "Big Boy Basics"; compound movements will rule in my training. Began sprinting/jog combos this week.  2x a week.

I have my eye on a December 11, 2020 competition taking place here in Los Angeles. I already know what I need to look like. Began visualizing this last week. This time, I need to practice wearing the shoes. So, ordered a practice pair that'll be here on Monday. Oh, and I'll have to wear the jewelry. That's arriving on Monday, too. BUT, I'm keeping my shaved head!

Began increased protein intake. Increased water intake.

The next three months - maintaining weight/diet and just training heavy. This will do two things: I will get more muscular and also, leaner. Maintain weight/training for two months. More precisely:

March, April, May and June: Train heavy/maintain diet. Get stronger, muscular and leaner.
July, August: Maintain - begin transitioning into pre-contest.
Sept, Oct, Nov  - Precontest.
December - Contest

Sound good? I think so. I'm, physically, in a good place. So I say this is doable.
